Pilsner Urquell – Radegast Brewery
Radegast Brewery is one of the most advanced automated production plants in the country and one of the major Pilsner Urquell’s plants. The beginning of systematically built production plants automation dates to 1993. Already in 1998, the ATE company applied 8 pcs PLC S5-135 and S5-155 including twelve Coros visualization stations of Siemens. They were used in the centers of brewhouse, CKT, pressure tanks and boiler room. A new generation of automation equipment starts in 2002. Gradually, we replaced the original PLC S5 by new S7 series and exchange and increased the number of operator stations with 24 pieces of new visualizations based on WinCC. Virtually all production centres has been undergoing the replacement, including new applications in operational files processing of malt, beer filtration, engine cooling and KEG line.
